Some time ago I found a page with small Duke3D utilities on either www.eduke32.com or wiki.eduke32.com but can't find it now because it doesn't seem to be linked from anywhere. It had little exe's (some with source) like one which made postscript files from map files (with a view from above, I suppose).
Could somebody who knows the address post it here?
Thanks.

Do you mean,

http://wiki.eduke32.com/stuff/

No, I mean a page with utilities for Duke. Small command-line programs which do useful things with maps/grps/whatever written by various people.
From trying out random addresses, I know it's not any of
util, utils, prog, progs, misc (and others) under
www.eduke32.com and wiki.eduke32.com,
but it's in the same spirit as those.

There's a crapload of utilities at http://archive.dukertcm.com . It's pretty much the mother of all duke utility archives.

Apologies for any popups you get; they're the result of old search software. We're trying to update the site to make it more organized and easy to search, but it takes a lot of work to get that much information converted over. Still looking for volunteers...

Thanks for this one, didn't know it. But in fact I am searching for that map-to-ps converter (for quick overview of many usermaps).

Duke 3D Bitmap Generator (V1.06) (http://archive.dukertcm.com/knowledge-base/downloads-rtcm/general-tools-build/Dn3dmap.zip)?

This program produces PCX or laserjet maps of Duke3D levels, extracted from GRP or MAP files.
Generate PCX-Bitmaps or print Duke Maps on your HP LaserJet (150-600 dpi).

The Duke Nukem 3D Bitmap Generator is a great addition to the toolkit of the Duke Nukem player or creator of add-on MAP files. With it, you can output from MAPs or GRPs to a LaserJet printer or save the output to a PCX file for viewing. The output created gives you a complete view of areas, the positions of monsters, access cards and other items, along with the numbers of each item. Using command-line switches, you can customize the output to include starting level, size of output, no access cards, no monsters, and a host of other options. If you play or design MAPs for Duke Nukem 3D, you'll want to check out this easy-to-use command-line program.
"A little secret,
There is a commandline switch "-info" that generates a one-line-description of a specific map. With "dn3dmap -info *.*" you can generate a complete overview over all files in a directory. One could easily see which levels are dm, coop or single player maps." -Kraus
Support for the plutonium pak aswell. {Source code is included.}

Looking for this, I think. I don't know if the particular tool you're looking for is in there, though.

Yep, thanks, that was it (in particular, http://wiki.eduke32.com/duke3d/other/build/).
The tool was probably the Bitmap Generator... I've read printer output and assumed it was postscript...
