I have a Logitech i-feel mouse, and when I'm in UED 3.0, whenever i try to move vertically (left and right mouse buttons down at the same time, moving mouse) I only move a fraction of space, if at all. Can someone please help me!?!

Just plugged in the ps/2 mouse, and I get the same problem. I can't move vertically at all. This is a serious problem, anyone with any information or ideas please post them. Hell, tell me how you're moving up and down, because maybe i'm just doing something wrong.

Either way, this is really pissing me off right now, so the sooner help is posted, the better.

Thanks in advance.

Any problems with UnrealEd 2.0?

Nope.

There's a setting in the Advanced preferences, under Display, I think, called DirectInput. Does toggling this from True to False (or vice versa) make a difference?

I can't find DirectInput, but CaptureMouse in the Display tab does nothing.

Doesn't the editor have a log window? In UnrealEd 2.0, the icon that toggles it on is at the bottom of the screen. You can type in 'Preferences' at the log window prompt. (I don't have UT2003k, so I can't give exact directions. images/icons/smile.gif )

(Or you can also access it in the game, either through the console '~' or by hitting the 'T' key and typing 'Preferences')

There is no DirectInput option that I can find anywhere in the Advanced Preferences menu anywhere. Any other ideas?

Hmm,

Other than looking through the .ini files in your UT2003/System directory, I can't think of anything else. It can't be the mouse, because you said it works fine in Unreal 2.0 Sorry. images/icons/frown.gif

Thanks anyways.

Damn, without a fix, I can't edit 2003, and that's the main reason I bought the game in the first place.

Do you have any special functions set for your mouse? I sometimes get problems with the mouse because I didn't disable the mouse menu that gets installed with the mouse drivers.

I snooped around Logitech's web site, and found some drivers that aren't shown with the rest of the mose drivers. images/icons/mad.gif

I installed them, and now it works great!

Thanks for the quick help you've given. It is appreciated

Thanks. What are they? Just the drivers without all the other bunk?

My install never came with any special extra crap, so yeah, it's just the drivers needed.

Also, I may install 9.73 MouseWare. Apparently it's universal, so give that one a shot if you haven't yet. I'll post impressions of it when I get it installed and running.
