Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.
I think I've seen this flick a bunch of times already.

I'm probably seeing this tomorrow night. I think I'll get a good laugh out of it, although he has written movies I like - Training Day, Harsh Times. I prefer Harsh Times of those two simply because it's one of the funniest movies I've seen in years.

Saw it. Very good movie. Ruthless, gritty violence, good performances all around, especially from Mr. Whitaker. Keanu did a great job, and had the best dialogue easily. He had some hilarious racial banter about asians that made to laugh pretty loud -- and I'm half Filipino.
I'd say the weakest part of the movie was Jayceon Taylor (aka rapper The Game). I was looking forward to seeing if he could act, but man he needs some work. Incredible rapper, awful actor.

No, don't tell me rappers aren't great actors! :o
Seriously, I saw Busta Rhymes completely destroy Halloween 8 nearly single handedly, of course I don't expect any rapper to be a great actor. That's why they're successful and known as rappers and not as actors.

But you expected Halloween 8 to be good?

Quite the contrary, Klaus. Tupac Shakur (RIP), Mos Def (especially), Ice-T...all very respectable actors. Even Eminem was decent in 8 Mile. Ice Cube can be good, but he just needs to remove what seems to be a permanent scowl imbedded onto his face.
On the other hand...Curtis Jackson (50 Cent), The Game and Common seem hopeless.

I never expected H8 to be good, I knew the story. But it could've been mediocre at least. Unfortunately they cast Rhymes.
And for every rapper that can act, you have two who try and can't. See 50 Cent.
