Hey guys,
If you're on Myspace, you've probably heard of "Forbidden" - Christina Dolce. She's like Miss Myspace & has a gazillion friends. Anyway, she does a radio show on Tuesdays & for bands to get played, they need to have the most votes. We're at around number 3 right now, sooooooooo....
I wanted to ask you guys if you would kindly drop a vote for us?

Don't worry Fjallraven, it's got nothing to do with that. This is a potentially huge way to for our band to get some good promotion, that's all. I've been a member here since 1999, and I also like the way the way people really seem to know each other :)

At the top of the page, there's a button labelled "Charts", and thanks to you guys, and a few dozen myspace bulletins, we're waaaaaay ahead!
The main idea here is to get Christina Docle's attention, so maybe she'll actually listen to us, and maybe she'll really like what she hears, and then just maaaaaybe she'll promote us to her 1.6 million friends, who then will just maybe shell out 89 cents to buy our song "I Hide" on iTunes, and then just maaaaaaaaaybe, the f***ing labels will see that perhaps there's something to this whole "Edges of Seven" thing that I've dedicated my life to for the past 8 years, and just maybe....and this is a big maybe, one of them will sign us to a record deal. Or, we might do so well independantly, that we won't need a major label. There is a method to my madness here, and because I've been here so long, and you guys know me, and I know many of you, I knew you'd be cool with this. So again guys, I sincerely thank you.

It's pretty tricky to get a foothold in the Music industry. Also I think that being able to live for, and from, music is the most awesome thing to do so you have my blessing... so to speak :)

I thought that you meant that this "Forbidden radio" band would promote us. It was late, and I didn't think my reply through. So I see now that it looked weird.

We did in fact win, so huge thanks to all of you for putting us there. I think we need to keep this up every week, but the voting will be reset as of midnight tonight, so wait until tomorrow before voting again. Anyway, I was thinking about what I could give you guys as not only incentive to keep voting, but also as a thank you. So, here only, I'm giving you guys our CD for free as a download.

Also thanks for the CD, I've been listening to it quite a bit since I first downloaded it a couple of days ago.

Remember that first 3 song CD I sent out to a bunch of ya?

I've still got that heh.. I'm looking at it right now on my shelf.

Just saw this thread. I don't feel right voting for a band/song I don't like. But that's not a problem here-- "I Hide" is definately catchy. So tally my vote. I'm not a big Industrial fan, but I'm anxious to check out the rest of your CD.

Yeah their site continually goes down it seems... but I vote when I can... ;)

Anyway thanks for the album d/l, I burned it off last night and it's pretty damn good I must say. I was listening to Future Truth for about 3 hours straight and it's going on my next mix CD for in my truck/work car. :D

Thanks SC, but really, as long as we're in the top 5, we get played. The cool thing is, that "Lux", the guy that does the show with Christine, was chatting with me during the song & saying stuff like "dude, this is really good!". I've uploaded "Bleed" for next weeks show, we'll see how it does. Thanks again brotha! Thanks to all you guys :)

So we were number for this week, and the number one band got some promo from Christine (Forbidden). When we were number one she didn't promote us....it's pretty frustrating. Still, it's gonna be a task to get to number one, but I'm hoping we can do it this time.
