How do you make one texture go over multiple surfaces in a cylinder.

The editor sees each surface of the cylinder as one place for a texture.

How do I make one texture spread over all the surfaces of a cylinder??

Thanks.

You pretty much have to pan the texture to get it right. It's not too hard.

Could you please explain to me how you do that???

select the surface(s) you want to edit right click on them and select surface properties. (or you can just hit f5) Then select the Pan/Rotate/Scale tab.

You'll see something similar to the following.

PAN

U: 1 4 16 64
V: 1 4 16 64

U is horizontal V is vertical. Click those buttons to pan the texture. The smaller the number, the smaller the increment.

You can also Rotate and scale the texture, as well as adjust the lightmap size all in that one little tab.

Good Luck!

I wish they would fix this in UnrealEd.

I saw a program somewhere called TextAlign that will calculate the texture scale values for you and give them directly to UnrealEd. I don't remember where I saw it, though.
