ive never really been into modding before. but now that postal 2 is here, for some reason i want to get inside this game. there are so many ideas i have for maps, mods, and tc's that i dont really know where to begin. honestly i think ill be lucky if i complete even one of my projects. time will tell, i guess.

ive never used unrealED (or any other editor for that matter) so ive got a few questions.

first off, wheres a good resource for mapping and modding in the unreal engine?

second, does anyone know of any sites that relate specifically to postED?

third (this might be a dumb question images/icons/tongue.gif ), can i modify weapon statistics through the unrealED?

fourth, does anyone know how i would modify the liquids in postal 2?

if you can answer just one of these id be grateful images/icons/grin.gif .

I have a question about PostEd. Where the heck is the majority of the textures of the game? Have they been encrypted? images/icons/confused.gif
I checked the texture browser, but it only shows the textures of the actors, some pseudo-texture used by the editor and 2 textures that come directly from the original Unreal!

Ahem, I solved this issue by myself (not ALL the textures were loaded), but I have another question now. I can't stand the autosave feature of the editor! How can I turn it off? It's very annoying to have your playtesting session interrupted by a "Cannot save, maybe file is read-only" message, and it's even more annoying when that message pops up whilethe level is about to be RUN!

I think thats the reason the ed keeps crashing on me.

Do you know the name of the file it's trying to save to? If so, check the file's properties and disable "read only" if it's enabled.
