Could someone please tell me how you can find a texture after you use it on one part of the map and then want to use the same texture for another area??
Do you have to memorize where you found it?
What I mean is if you have it on one part of the map, is there a way to copy one texture to another surface or re-find the texture??

In the 3D window, left-click on the texture you want to copy, so that it highlights.
Now, hold down the left control key and click the right mouse button to copy the texture into the clipboard.
Now, click the surface(s) you want to apply the texture to. Hold down the left control key and press the LEFT mouse button to paste the texture. images/icons/smile.gif

thanks, but this doesn't work for me.
when i hold down the left ctrl key and right click the mouse button, all that happens is the menu comes up (you know, the menu that comes up when you usually right click)
is there any other way to do this?

graemlins/doh.gif Sorry. It was ALT+Right-click, not Ctrl+right-click. images/icons/smile.gif

Also if your using UED3 you can click the tab that says "In USE" in the texture browser. That will only show what textures you are using in the map no matter what package they came from.

I wish I had 2 monitors so I could have the textures/meshes browser on the right monitor, and the editor on the left. That would rock!
Anybody wanna donate one? hehe
