Hello everybody! I want to inform you about a new EDuke32 mod “RailSingle”. I work on it two years and soon it will be lined up for release. It based on lightly modified DukePlus code and it will include about 30 enormous levels, slew of new textures and sprites, 22(!) weapons, new monsters, inventory items and much more.
What’s new:
WEAPONS, firstly. It will be able to different shot modes, primary and alt firing:
Short jemmy
Pistol / Dual Pistols (akimbo). Can be upgraded by specific devices 3 times.
Shotgun (animation from original game)
Rifle
DB-Shotgun
Automatic Light Shotgun (4 reloads after 4 fast shots)
Assault Machinegun
Paten Thrower
Grenade Launcher
Rocket Launcher (some inventory items make it shooting Heatseekers or specially controlled rockets)
Hand Grenades (rather it’s an inventory items)
Lightning Cannon
Expander Weapon (animation from original game)
Light Pulse Missile Launcher
Blaster
Flame Thrower
Freezer (animation and primary-fire projectiles from original game)
Railgun
Gauss Autocannon
Shrinker (animation and primary-fire projectiles from original game)
Heavy BFG
Inventory Items:
Steroids
Portable Medkit
NVG
Boots
Scuba
Holoduke
Armor (two types: reduces 60% or 80% damege)
Floor Mines
Trip Bombs
Force Field
Invisibility Device
Atomic Health (now ups your health till 500%, each item raises your max health to 2)
Alien Turrets
Different Weapon Upgrades.
Heatseeker Rockets
Rocket control Monitor
Shrinking Device
Expanding Device
Jump Boots
Defensive Shields (each item provides player 5% damage reducing everlastingly)
Gas Bombs
Dust Parcels
Quad Damage
5 Access cards and other pass keys.
Money
Enemy Monitor Device.
And… much more.
Now I haven’t time to seriously working on it because I want to finish summer sessions primarily. So, in July I will continue working and maybe in September my TC will be done. Furthermore I’d like to learn LEBuild editor before, to add great map effects to my levels. All my maps built with Mapster32.
