Vista not saving desktop settings

Everytime I reboot Vista resets all of my options, including the desktop.. anyone else have this problem?

It crunches everything together for me when I play a game at a low resolution, which is a real bitch because I have everything in little clusters scattered all over the desktop and it's a lot of work to keep it organized sometimes, but I can't remember having your problem though. Are you on SP1?

Did it happen before you installed that?

No, not at all. However it didn't happen immediately after I installed SP1 either.. it's really strange.

I got a pop-up message the last time it auto-rebooted saying it could not load my profile, however my mouse and keyboard weren't working.. so I couldn't select the information bubble to find out why..

I tried to use a restore point however there appears to be none! :confused:
