This google-interface behaves similar to a unix-shell.
You type commands and the results are shown on this page.

This is really neat, it is basically a "terminal-like" shell for Google. Do you think people will go for it?

I checked it out yesterday, and I immediately found it pointless if you use firefox. Any of those things I cared to get can be had with keyword searches.

I wonder how many besides me used 'ls' or 'uname -a' as a first command :)
Neat thing but as someone already posted on slashdot that it's pretty ironic that this doesn't work with text-based browsers like elinks or lynx :p

I know I did. :D Actually I typed "ls". (Damn Mac/Linux Terminals)

Woot, I'm not the only one crazy enough to use a text based browser. :woot: (I use just standard "links" though).

I did as well ;). Interesting idea.
Try logging in to root with su...lol
Also "ls -la" doesn't work
It also seems that you are jailed too, you can't cd out of "web"

No, "su" doesn't work... Try "sudo <command>" instead. ;)
If you don't understand something, just use the "man" command.
Now only if you could install it using a LiveCD. :p

Quite fun, but pointless. Just what the internet is all about :D

Yes you can... type "ls" to view the modes and other stuff, and the type "cd" followed by an item in the green text.
(Yep that's right... it got updated.)
