About the ability to add tags to the blogs, wouldn't that risk pollouting the tag cloud? Like the tags in normal threads can?

It'd be a separate tag cloud specific to the blog and yeah it'd have the same issues that tags in normal threads have. Though they will fall under the same rules that we have in place on tagging here.
