I would love to have one... but I can't justify spending that much on it alone.

I saw one on Ebay a while back, went for 300 in the UK. Conversion rate.... would put it over 600 bucks US. As much as I want one, I'm not spending that.

But i dislike some of the poor details, like the cheaply done 'cracks' in the 'Duke Nukem' writing, and the folding in his shirt, which is just black wave'y horisontal lines...

Skin looks bright only in overly lit rooms or when using camera flash... Else, it looks very nice...

Those statues are awesome and pretty worth the money. They were a limited edition statue created in 97/98 or so. Very few exist.

I think we only have about 8 in storage and they are reserved for extremely special circumstances.

They're packed away for archival purposes. It's not like we have 100 of them, just a couple for the archives.

Was supposed to get one, but didn't turn out well. Mouse pad was horribly damaged in shipping through UPS. Was ripped, torn... whatever.

The box it was in was stained red with the liquid inside it, box was crushed, folded... just damn near destroyed. And the pad itself was damaged so badly you could hardly tell what it originally was.

Guy refunded me, and I sent the remains back to him. He gave me a free copy of some game as well. But I've never managed to find another one.

Glad it worked for you! Once you have it, put it in the middle of your room and worship DNF at least three times every day until it happens. You may also check one of my favourite web sites, Ben Dover for additional advice.

The cracks on the writing is poorly done on mine compared to yours... Also, the tip of the tongue of the Enforcer is broken off...
You even got the single action figure that i wished i had... Octabrain is my favorite enemy design of Duke3D...

Man! That statue looks great. I'm impressed that you guys are able to find them...i've been searching for a while now. I recently bought a collection of 6 Duke Nukem figures on ebay for about 80 dollars including shipping. I guess I got lucky!...but I will not rest until I have that statue.
It really comes down on having luck and patience, like how you got hold on those 6 figures for that much money.

On another note, does anyone know if 3DR will sell Duke tshirts again? I would buy one in a heartbeat!

The catch is that the statue is slightly broken, though the box is in good condition.

Duke arrived today, and damn, he's lookin' good!:doh:

The only nitpick i've got with the statue, is that the tip of the enforcer's tougue is missing.

Other than that, it's a great statue of the king.

Really, that's exactly the same issue i got...
Tip of the tongue is broken off, wasn't around either, so i naturally can't re-attach it...

While it isnt a terrible statue, as an aspiring sculptor, I think it could have been done a lot better, especially considering the price.

I have one of these myself. Number 497 or 479.. somewhere in that region. I've had it for the better part of a decade at least, and I found it in it's original box in my closet collecting dust. Maybe I'll sell mine one of these days. With as much chaos there is in this house, I dare not put it out for display or it would be shattered into a million pieces that God himself couldn't sort out.

I see someone sold it for $40 recently - I guess they didn't realize what it was really worth :insomnia:. I wonder if I waited for Duke Nukem Forever to be released - then maybe people would be flocking to buy Duke stuff, hehe. :doh:

In any case, if I decide to sell, I'll probably update this post and give you guys some warning (if thats allowed) since so many are interested in finding one. I have a habit of starting everything I sell on eBay at a penny, so it might be fun to see the bidding wars hehe

I have decided that I am going to sell my statue afterall. I also went through my old things and found various other rare Duke goodies and I believe I am going to sell it off as a package. I'll probably get around to sticking it up on eBay sometime early next week. I'd do it sooner, but tomorrow is my birthday and I plan on going out of town. :-D

Sniping is the only way to bid in my opinion because of "Dollar Bidders". I don't understand or like them. That is part of why I only bid in the last few seconds on eBay so they don't have time to bid 10 times in a row. If you give them a chance, some people will bid many times in small amounts. If you bid early, you will pay more most of the time. Bidding more than 15 minutes early can get your bid found out as well.
I had the second bid on both the DVD and the Statue... but didn't quite make it this time. :)
After I saw the statue had minor damage, I backed my potential bid off a bit.
I wonder if someone from the board won either of them.
