Nice,

They are doing construction/renovations at a strip mall near work and I went to get some Luby's to-go and the power kept cutting off and on a few times, it went off completely for a few seconds and about 20 seconds later, you could hear all of the reigsters booting back into windows xp. \o

That's pretty sweet

With some local radio stations around here when they have doing talk shows you can tell when they have PC issues. You can always hear the Microsoft Ding sound.

Granted, it's a funny blooper, but I don't get why this is supposed to be even funnier just because MSNBC is partly owned by Microsoft. It's not that every MSNBC employee claims to be an windows expert, is it?

Maybe you can only find it hilarious if you're american?

The next person who makes a comment like that, thats it. I'll Call The President, and we'll nuke the persons country of origin. I dont mean just once. At least 700 times. Eventually we'll have a new planetary soupbowl where we can pour toxic waste and garbage. :D "J/K" of course.

This video is just a prime example of the S*** happens mobile coming to town. It never gets old to see reporters and news anchors recover from a slip. You can tell the good ones from the bad ones with how they react. :p

LEAVE MY COUNTRY ALOOOOOONE!!!1 http://cosgan.de/images/smilie/traurig/a020.gif

;) But seriously, that wasn't meant as a dumb stereotype. I just figured I don't understand the awesomeness of this video due to a different 'socialisation'. While US citizens nowadays grew up with a quadrillion tv channels, and are most likely fed up with it, here there were only three channels until 1984, nowadays there are about 60-ish... and most of them suck. Wait, what was my point again? :censored:

Lighten up.

I'm Belgian and I do! Holy cow! :dopefish:

I really really REAAAAALLLLLY fail to see the reasoning behind "perhaps you have to be American to get it".

Wellenreiter
07-05-2008, 06:32 AM
Well, just forget it. The reasoning was just that i'm sometimes puzzled as to why certain things are popular with people. For example why some baseball stuff would get 3000+ diggs. So that is an american thing, but certainly my reasoning is flawed, as while the majority of basefall fans might be in the US, there are baseball fans all over the world. I just don't happen to be one of them. :)

Well you see there's nothing to "get" in this video, the joke is what you see: A computer crashing during a news report. Ha-ha!

Ha!

Ha!
Exactly.

Well, on local (Chile) TV broadcasts I can sometimes see the mouse pointer sitting down on the screen for a minute or two, until the staff goes "oh wtf!?" and then the pointer suddenly flies across the screen to hide on a corner. And sometimes even a Windows Image Viewer appears, with the TV Screen mysteriously overlaid on it. I wonder what the staff would be watching in those occasions... pr0n? :D

Speaking of TV blunders... A TV station here accidentally played hardcore p0rn for four minutes in primetime viewing (3pm). Haha!!

Other television channels were quick to report on the botch-up, with TV3 reporting how disgusted and shocked viewers were when the porn suddenly appeared on their screens.

What's disgusting about porn? Bunch of homosexual wankers.

They should be happy instead of disgusted. They got some porn for free. ;)
