Loose Ends
Many people on the forums that exist have been asking rather similar questions. What the hell happened in MP? Mona disappeared, Woden reappeared, Max got booked, Candy Dawn's porno tape vanished and Ricoh died with his pants down.
Ok, so Ricoh's fate was understandable as well as hilarious. The day MP came out, people all over the world rejoiced as Ricoh's skanky corpse fell to the ground. If there is anyone out there who does not know what I am talking about...get help. Seriously, get a freakin walkthrough! Ricoh fell into a bloody puddle on the ground, but what about Mona? She didn't die at all. Or did she? After she got shot up and Max was forced to fight some more baddies, he turned around to find that her body was gone, yet there was still blood all over the elevator. Here is my theory: The bullets that were fired at her were fake. After the thug fired a round of blanks, he continued to shoot at Max with real rounds. While Max was preoccupied with the enemies, Mona slipped out of the elevator, but not before she splashed a little fake blood around. Just like Woden would later, she faked her death to deceive Max.
Woden made it out of city hall alive, just in time to watch Max get arrested. Many speculate that he will help get Payne out of jail in the future. Some think he is a jerk who should not be trusted. All I can say about that is, time will tell. When Max Payne 2 comes out, many questions will be answered.
Another item that is nagging a few folks is, how the hell did Payne get busted by the cops? He was so skilled at dodging and fighting he probably could have gotten away safely in his regular fugitive style. There is an answer to this one, although it is not the best. Perhaps he didn't care anymore. He was a man with nothing to lose, and he had finally seeked his vengence.
As I lay in bed tonight with my supermodel girlfriend at my side, I will not be able to get one wink of sleep because I will be wondering where the hell Max hid that Candy Dawn porno tape he snatched. One guy i bumped it into on a forum thought he may have shoved into one of his own body cavities. Maybe he sold it to a cop for a little extra dough. Knowing Max, he probably hid it in a very reliable spot on the Aesir roof. He'll get it back. Perhaps someone could make a mod about that.
Will Sam Lake, the writer of MP sew up these gaping hole in the sequel? He better, because if he doesn't he is going to have a couple thousand Payne fans banging on his door, lead pipes in hand.
