ok, so i've completed this "game" (i would call it an experience!) and i'm now trying to get my head around the story. Things i'd missed. One thing that's puzzling me: on the very last level, in the Aesir skyscraper. You meet Mona.

A/ isn't she already dead? -the guy talking on the phone in Part II chapter 1 says "that's even worse than what frankies doin' to that poor bastard downstairs. she's gonna take a long time to die" max says: "the mobster muscle on the phone was talking about Mona"

B/ when she's shot, in the very last level, in the elevator, the graphic novel goes: "when the elevator came back down, Mona was gone. there was a lot of blood, but no body. something clicked for the final time. my mind had never been so clear..."

what clicked?

A. Max thought he was talking about Mona, but when you get to the mansion, you find Lisa dead. Lisa is Mona's twin.

B. I don't know either. It was something that wasn't explained.

A. He was talking about Max. Emphasis on downstairs.

B. I think that bit of dialog was a subtle warning to the player about the explosives in the elevator shaft. Her body had been blown up by the tripmines.

B) - Max and Mona were the first successful valkyr subjects. That's why mona didn't die but got away. Thats also why max is so badass and can see in bullet time. It finally clicked and max realised it when he saw how mona had got away.

I know I'm right. Wait for mp2, or the movie images/icons/grin.gif there's more to the story than what most people think.

Lisa is Mona's twin.<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I think it actually was Mona downstairs, because when you go downstairs, you enter the room @ the bottom of the stairs and you see a dead guy with a stake in his back and a sign that says "soon", so that must've been her.
Also, on the phone, the guy says somethin' like-to the trio? oh that's friggin' bad, that's even worse then what they're doin to that witch downstairs. she's gunna take a long time to die- So that means that if Mona was the one downstairs, then Lisa was the one who did something to the trio and was killed for it. I might be wrong, so someone correct me if I am

I just thought of something. If her sign said soon, then that means she was expecting to run into him in Aesir building, so she must've been in league w/ Horne, and was able to escape from the building after being shot because she knew all of the little secrets of the place

More speculation from me, just runnin my mouth. Tell me what you think

I asked this question myself too, but then I turned on my logic and what I came to:
A. Dead body cant go away itself.
B. There were no hole in the floor.
C. Nobody needs dead body.
Conclusion:
A. Mona was just unconsious.
B. Mona was pretending to escape.
Wait for MP2. I'm sure Mona will be there.

I have a question too.

In the second dream sequence when Max picks up the phone there is that voice spouting nonsense ("The cheese duck ran to the woods..." or something, I don't remember). Anyway, Max says the voice is strangely familiar. I realize it was just a dream, and it was coupled with the "Your are in a computer game" gag, so was it a joke? Who's voice was it?
