Lee3DR can/will give you the whole story, but in essence, it was because he wrote it to be sort of a grab bag (bag with tons of different things inside) of heavy metal elements. He never meant it to be Duke's theme; he really wrote it to give George, the sh!t filter for Duke3D, an idea of the style in case he wanted to use it. Lee Jackson is the MAN. The music he makes is the coolest thing I've heard since that sound it makes when my ex-girlfriend puts her finger in her.....wait, I can't say that here. Plus, I see a reflection of her in my monitor, ready to smash a chair over my head.....Call 911.
