My wife and I both were Cosplaying, I was Kimihiro Watanuki from xxxHolic and she was Kazumi Asakura from Negima.

I kept being mistaken for Walter from Hellsing. I must've been mistaken about a million times. :( At least my wife was recognized and got a hug from some girl. ^_^

I go to this one anime Con up in Orlando at least once a year (AFO). Fun stuff, although I don't dress up or participate in the activities I like to go to the theater rooms and watch all the new stuff and some of the movies.

Well, I guess if you're brother's cosplaying. It's fine enough. :D Yeah, it's definitely not for everybody. :D So much more things to spend money on other than Cosplay it is fun though. Everybody wants a picture or wants to chat. Especially artists. XD

Yeah, there are some really bad cosplays out there. Saw a couple atrocious ones this weekend, but also some really good ones. Some people are just too lazy to be Cosplay Otaku. >_< But at least they try. ^_^

The MangaNEXT (http://www.manganext.org/) Convention is the one I'm planning on attending next.

It's going to be in Somerset, New Jersey from October 31 - November 2, 2008 so it start Halloween. ^_^ My wife's favorite day.

If anybody else is planning on it, it's only $25 for 3 days. Which is waaay cheaper than the $65 of Otakon.

Yeah, MangaNEXT doesn't have nearly as much lined up as Otakon, but with the big focus on Doujinshi and Manga it is a real draw. As well as the big focus on Cosplay and the Cabaret and such. It should be fun to run the catwalk. I'm going to Cosplay as one male and one female character so I'm ready to strut my stuff. ^_^

I have some stuff I can unload at the swap meet and maybe get my hands on the Izuna Fanbook that came with Pre-Orders of Izuna 2 somewhere either at the Dealer's Room or the Swap meet. \-_-/

Well. It may appear that way, but Cosplay is a fun way to meet new people and hang out at Cons and strut your stuff in your cool costume, plus the ladies like it. ^_^

Ah, so its white people wannabe japs? Like wiggers are wannabe black. I find this a bit odd, as it seems to me that many japs want to be like white people, colouring their hair, using coloured lenses and high heels to get taller etc. I've seen some funny pictures :p Most of the animes i've seen has had a lot of characters that look a lot more like people of European decent than of Asian. Examples are Berserk, Hellsing and Naruto (havent seen much of Naruto, but at least the main character looks that way). Berserk and Hellsing are awesome btw.

I've been reading this month's Shoujo Beat lately. Almost finished. Read it every morning at breakfast. Had to switch as I was bored with Shonen Jump and prefer Shoujo manga better anyway.
