Max Payne not responding

Hello!
I tried asking this question at the support E-Mail at the readme file, but they just gave me a FAQ of tech problems...
So here it is:
Hello!
I got Max Payne and did a full installation. When trying to run it, I saw the Max Payne
picture, and then nothing happened. I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del, and it was written:
"MaxPayne (not responding)". I downloaded the patch, and installed it. Nothing
changed. I installed 3DMark 2001 and after installing, restarted the computer and operated
Max Payne again. Nothing changed. What's the problem?
System Specs:
AMD 1Ghz
128MB RAM
14.7GB free space
nVidia TNT2 32MB
Windows ME

I cant really help, except to say make sure you have the 12.41 drivers installed. If not, visit Nvidia website, and collect.

I have the same card as you do (graphics, I mean) and I too have problems. The game kinda cracks into shards after a few minutes gameplay.
