Why does my game have large areas which are blacked out? Most of game is fine and I enjoy it but in Chap 6 and 7 I have most of the screen is black with only a couple of areas I can see. Sometimes if I "look down" I can see eveything. If I move mouse back up, it goes black. I can usually see a small area only. My video card is the latest according to internet. It doesn't matter if I play at low, med.or high resolution or 600 - 16 or 1000. Tried all of the settings and it makes absolutely no difference.

Your video card is the latest according to the Internet? Pfffttt. Since when does the Internet can verify such thing? Tell us, what is your video card? Also, have you got the latest drivers? Usually getting the latest drivers for your video card will fix the problem.

I have the same problem on my machine at home. However, it's really old hardware, so I'm just writing it off to that. I have a Creative Labs 3D Blaster Savage4 there. Not a bad card when it was new, but I have the huge black areas problem described there, too.

I have the same problem but it started from the get go. Still waiting on reply from talon. Joe I have the same vid card as u with the same problem. the best i cud do was 16bit 800x600 res with all console settings set to the default minimum. but the background images still keep washing out the foreground images.

Not everything has an immediate answer. Sometimes it takes time to research an answer.

Also, sometimes some hardware isn't compatible. Did you look at this link to see if it's supported?
