Was playing Co-op tonight and one of my buddies who DOES play FPS was getting sick, He also mentioned this happened in Marathon: Durandal, Durandal got a patch for this.
He DIDN'T get motion sickness with Doom(XBLA).

Strange, I never gotten motion sickness from DN3D, even back when I played the original, same for Doom and Marathon. Maybe your friend was looking up and down too often, since looking up and down gives the game this weird perspective that makes some people dizzy. It made me dizzy the first time I played DN3D.

I guess my eyes have just really gotten used to all the mayhem that goes onscreen. Like crazy 9 player Dukematches on Stadium.
I heard that Marathon did have alot of problems with the motion sickness, but i guess its all about how well you orient yourself and your eyes to whats going on.

Tell him to turn off the Motion Blur effects that should work.

Durandal got a patch for this.
How can you software-patch someone's sickness away?
You're still wobbling down the corridors fast.

Actually when Durandal came out for XBLA, it has this insane blur to it, i played for a few minutes and got motion sickness, apparently there was a patch that got rid of that blur and now it's fine, I haven't noticed it since then.

I can not say about Duranadal, cause I did play it, finished the SP, but my Xbox RROLD right before the patch, and 2 weeks is a long time.
I think he's turned off the motion blur, and madse the view point smaller, he said it helped.
thank you so far Guy/Gals :)
