Hi.
I have a PIII 733, 128 RAM and a Voodoo3.
For some reason all the comics parts of the game are really blured and I can't understand a thing, and what I do understand makes my eyes hurt so much since I have to focus them really hard on the screen.
Is there any way I can resolve this thing or increase the sharpness? images/icons/frown.gif
If not, is there anywhere I can find the texts or/and the graphic parts in a web site so I would be able to prnt it and save it to use during the game?

I'm really fussed about it. I'm playing a game and I have no idea whats going on and why! I finally find a 3d shooter which has a plot. And a great plot. And I can't expreience any of it. And voodoo 3 is suppoes to be supported! It's in the supported cards list. So I don't accept the answer of "live with it".

It is mentioned in the Troubleshooting guide. I suggest you read some game documents first and then come here to bitch about it.

The Voodoo 3 (and all earlier 3dfx accelerators) are limited in hardware to 256 x 256 textures. Upgrading is the only solution.

Use RASMAKER with x_english.ras and you`ll get the comics in the self-made "database" folder, and for some reason they aren't blurred when you watch them outside the game. Just in case you don't know, rasmaker is with MaxFX and it's used rasmaker -x x_english.ras. Hope this helps, as it helped me to avoid going blind.

What do you mean bitch about it?
I did read it there. But the voodoo 3 is supposed to be supported! What a wonderful solution to just say, it won't work on the voodoo. So simple, just to tell people it won't work so that will shut up.
I did see it, but thats no excuse.

Funny, if you really read it there then why do you wonder that they are blurry and how do you have no idea about it? Makes you think, doesn´t it?

A) I read that after posting here
B) This is still NO excuse why this isn't working! And why do you keep pointing that out? If you can't help, than don't talk!

About the "I have no idea whats going on and why", it means that I have no idea what is going on IN THE GAME, since all the plot parts are blurred!

The voodoo cards are severely limited in texture size, so you get more blurry text. You can try upping the texture detail in the main menus. Also the graphic novel screens are spoken and have speech, so how can you not follow the story?

George,

Maybe he can't understand the story because he is from Israel (according to the profile) and there is a difference between the written and spoken english for people whose native language is something else than english.

I know what I'm talking about. Check my location.

Well... When you put the CD, you'll get a menu. Choose the MaxFX Tools option and install them. Once you've done this, go to where you installed it, and you'll see some directories, get inside the rasmaker one, copy whatever is in it, and paste it to your Max payne directory. Go to DOS, type rasmaker -x x_english.ras nad after a while you'll get a 'data' folder inside the Max Payne one, go there until you see the graphic novel directory, inside you'll find your prize (theorically images/icons/grin.gif ).

Ok calm down folks images/icons/smile.gif

The graphic novel does have a slight blotchyness to the images, but that's supposed to be like that, and it looks great images/icons/smile.gif

But blurryness is obviously just somethings to do with the graphics card or your settings. Maybe you could use 32bit with a voodoo 3?
