Didn't want to bury this in the TFU thread, as I think it more than warrants its own place here.
This is a ten episode retrospective of Star Wars gaming, from the early arcade and Atari 2600 beginnings up to The Force Unleashed.
For people like me with an increasing retro sentimentality and a particular fondness of the combination of the Star Wars universe and videogames, it's a goldmine.

I enjoyed it, but have only played but a few of the games mentioned (and they mentioned all the Star Wars titles, did they not?).
The other retrospectives were good. I probably liked the Legend of Zelda and Metroid ones the best.

The Star Wars one was definitely the best one yet. It's great that they're willing to go in depth and make the episodes last so they can talk about each entry in the franchise in sufficient depth. It really makes me want to play Rogue Squadron. :D
He says, "The Phantom Menace came out on August 31, 1999, almost a month before the feature film." The feature film was released May 19. It was the console versions that came out on August 31, with the PC version debuting before the film on April 30.

I'm on Episode IV....Man there's a lot of these and they're long...but actually pretty interesting and nostalgic.

I know GT has been known to make mistakes, but are you sure those aren't the European release dates? GT is USA centric.

Finished. It was actually pretty interesting...I remember a lot of those games.
Maybe they should bring Dark Forces to Xbox Live Arcade....

They should patch JO and JA so they work on Vista.

Yeah, because the movie opened in July in Europe according to the IMDb. I'm a little surprised and maybe skeptical that Europe had to wait two months for a Star Wars film, but I guess the evidence suggest that they did. But, either way, an August release date for the game can't have proceeded the movie.
It's not a big deal. The featurettes are really good and that one little blip doesn't detract.
