I cant get any sound in the game at all

I finished the game in 2 days but without any sound. I get the blue screen of death whenever I try to load the game with sound. The error message says,"A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C1754CAA in VXD Asp4Ware(01) + 0001455A" How do I fix this major problem?

i don't know how... but 4 me.... i swear that this game is still under BETA TEST....

If you'd just bother reading the support pages (http://www.maxpayne.com/support/) you'd see this:
Q: I'm having problems with the au30wave/asp4ware VXD BSO sounds.
A: Go to Control Panel.
Double-click on "Aureal Vortex Audio."
On the first tab, there is a check-box for disabling 3D hardware audio - make sure it is checked.

I have this exact same problem, but I can't find that option to disable 3D audio. Please help

I didn't find the "disable 3d sound" option, but I found the closest thing; "disable directsound hardware acceleration". I checked that box, and now Max Payne plays great WITH sound images/icons/grin.gif . Not exactly what was suggested, but was close enough to act as a nice hint images/icons/wink.gif
