Netbook remix looks nice. When I finally get one I might stick that on instead of Xp.

GRUB didn't install when I installed this. . .computer just booted to Windows XP. I don't feel like messing with it right now but is there a solution besides reinstalling the whole thing again and hoping it installs GRUB this time around?
they decided to change the scancodes. Breaks dosbox until somebody provides the new scancodes and a way to detect it

Actually, those do me no good considering that Windows has been installed since day one. Ubuntu was installed last.
I realize now that the problem is my hardware configuration. . .I was having this problem before.
Maybe I will have to wait until I am just using SATA drives. . .
edit: maybe I could try doing the install grub. I could also try to reinstall GRUB from the live CD. . .of it could be my hard drive set up.

That what the first link does bubb.
If grub doesnt recognize the drive, scroll down and read more of the first post.
If you have a older live cd,you can also try that just incase something is fubar with 8.10.
Still better than a reinstall.

That was what the edit was. ;)
But I will not be doing this until at least tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Looks quite promising, I might try this out on my Mac Mini. My latest kitten Leopard is not behaving and I want an alternative. I might even roll back to good old Tiger at the same time..
Think I'll go for duel boot, not the parallels option. Will let you all know how I get on.
