Has anyone solved a problem with the game being too dark?? I tried the new beta drivers which helped a bit but still has areas that are unplayable.I am now on Part 2 chapter 4 Put Out My Flames With Gasoline, and cannot see a bloody thing to run to get away.Other than the too dark problem the frame rates are superb and graphics crisp.I love this game.....please help!!!!! images/icons/rolleyes.gif

With Radeon cards, the in-game gamma correction doesn't work. You'll need to go to the Display Adapter settings and adjust gamma/brightness there.

Thanks for the reply.I tried that but it didn`t work.I downloaded the beta driver which provided a "game gamma" adjuster which changed the briteness in the game and improved it alot (besides messing up other games and programs), but some areas are still unplayable. graemlins/mryuck.gif

Yep this kinda sucks. I decided it was time for a new Video card partially so I could finish Max Payne. Had two choices at the particular store I went to. A GeForce2 and a Raedon 64 DDR. Wish I had read this post first. Finally runs at least. Up the gamma in settings then brighten the monitor. Still pretty dark but playable. Are there any intentions to correct? Too bad, the game concept is the best thing since Half Life.

Wohoo!!
The Raedon 7115 alternate Beta drivers made a big improvement. Still no "in-game" brightness adjustment but much better. Now we are getting somewhere.
