Hi guys,
Sorry for the lateness of this post :P I had to wait for all the photos and some people took longer than others getting theirs online
As some of you know my family has been doing an annual pumpkin contest where the winner gets bragging rights for the year, and the losers get dressed up in humiliating costumes of the winner's choice the following year.
Last year we didn't have the contest since I moved to California, but a few days before the 31st my brother-in-law and my Dad called me and said they wanted to resurrect the contest in a long-distance format. So, we're giving this a try.
Since this is our first time trying this, we're giving it a small test-run. The challenge was for each of us to carve a straightforward jack-o-lantern (no shaving techniques) in under 2 hours from start to finish including hollowing it out and design transfers. Each of us took photos of our pumpkin and now we're responsible for polling as many people as we can to get results. I figured why not poll the people on 3drealms bb since some of you have followed this family comp for awhile :)
When I fly home for Thanksgiving we're going to meet up, put our cumulative vote results in a hat and count out the totals. Dad and my bro Caleb are going to have to dress up in costumes of my choice for a few hours, since they still owe me for Halloween 06 :) The results will be pretty belated but I guess it's better late than never
So with all that said, I have photos of the 3 entries and would appreciate anyone viewing to vote for 1, 2, or 3. For the first time ever, your vote here will be included in the final ballot - unfortunately I can't say which pumpkin is mine to avoid any biased voting. Please let your voice be heard, (and vote for me :P )
Depending on how this goes we might try it again next year, and maybe get back to doing more elaborate carvings.
Here's the entries:

Thanks for your help! I'll have the results by the end of the month.
