Looking for a very old game, at least 20 years old. It ran on PC, it was a platformer, you were just a smiling ball with legs (and 1 strand of hair?) and you walked around on platforms and ladders collecting golden chickens. I don't remember it having enemies. I think you just had to collect all chickens before the time ran out.

Shameless bump. Anyone? Can't find it.

looks like a silly little platformer.

I had Dizzy on a ZX Spectrum compilation. Never saw the point of the games, I guess it was designed for very small children.

But boy did the churn out a lot of them!!!

Nope, that Dizzy thing looks way too recent. I'm talking very early days of DOS, with monochrome graphics and tinny speaker beeps. It ran on an old 286.

Dizzy was 1986 - 1992 which was the 286 era :dopefish:

How about Chuckie Egg... Oh the hours I spent on this game!

Sure looks like Chuckie Egg. Especially the Amiga version, where the player is wearing a cap. The bill of the cap could seem like a strand of hair . . .

This Chuckie Egg thing looks like it, but the levels are too big; there's only a few chickens on the platforms. This game had at least 30-50 chickens per map. They were everywhere, like pac-man dots. You could pick up tons just walking. Also there were no eggs and the chickens did not move. They were tiny golden roosters, small trophies, in a way. And you were just a little Smily ball with legs, not a human with a hat. The entire screen was tons and tons of platforms and ladders, with tiny chickens and a tiny you.

Chuckie Egg looks like the evolution of that game.

Sounds like a home-brew/cover disc game.

I guess. I've searched the web for every DOS game site and no one has it. Google and Youtube searches turn out nothing. :(

Any idea where you got the game from?

Can't remember at all, I was very young, maybe 6 or 7 so... 25 year ago. Had no clue who installed what on the computer.
