Lockup fix for Radeon users

hey my comp would lock up left and right in max payne without warning, even with the most recent drivers. So what i did was get a program called RadeonTweaker, and i tweaked my radeon. I changed all of my settings to ones that were "recommended" because there were a lot that were checked which were "unrecommended". And now the game hasn't crashed once! (im not sure which setting changed made this happen, but im happy!)
I also disabled vsync even though the recommended it checked, maybe that helped? (maxpayne runs in directx, so you should change all the direct x settings. I changed all the settings there were for everything fyi)

So go download it now and see if it works!

What are the recommended settings for the radeon cards? Where is this info posted?

in the program it lists which settings are recommended (place your cursor over the setting, it tells you if it recommends it to be "checked" or "unchecked"). Workin great for me, and it optimizes settings and makes things look better.

Basically the tweaker has scripts for the major games based on users input. The forums at www.rage3d.com (http://www.rage3d.com) are the best place for that info. I didn't have any lockup problems with my Radeon, using the 7153 beta drivers and nothing "tweaked".
