I installed Duke nukem 3D on my computer, then I tried to install the plutonium pak but it says i dont have enough memory (which i do) and nothing will work.

I downloaded the high res pak and the update pak but havent installed it yet. So do i need to install them first then try pp (plutonium pak) or do i need to do something else?

If this has been asked before can you give me the link so maybe i could figure it out.

Use this (ftp://ftp.3drealms.com/patches/ppack15.exe).

Apparently you don't know that the Plutonium Pak is actually a patcher which patches 1.3 to 1.4, so it doesn't have the actual 1.4 files on the cd.

Maybe.

I only have the 1.3 and Atomic CD.

Ya sorry double post, but when i run the ppack 15, it always says patching process fails. I tried it five times and it doesn't work, its kinda getting out deleting and reinstalling Duke 3D.

Is the plutonium pak broken or something?

I have never gotten it to work, and I own it. I just went and bought atomic and ended the headache. Since it's only like $10 from the 3DR store I feel it's worth it.

$10 is really hard for me at the moment (screwed with a $129 water bill for no reason) and i just want to play what i payed for back in the day. Why does it have to be so difficult?

Hmm. Can you run it in DOSBox?

I forgot about dosbox, but its so confusing for starters. Take me weeks to learn everything.

Do you have a directory in which the v1.3D and PPack files are? When DOSBox comes up, type:
mount C "<your directory>"
C:
<ppack exe>
Without the brackets, of course.

Ok scratch that, i actually got the ppack15 thing to work, but when i installed HRP, it doesn't show up. What's wrong now?

Sorry double post, i actually got it to fully work now. Turns out the hrp was installing itself to a different folder than where it should of been. Thanks for the help.
