May they have fun adventurous times in Heaven together. May they boldly go where no couple has gone before.

So Gene was the only Star Trek fan to ever get laid, then? I mean, I'm assuming they had human sex at some point. Anyway it's sad she died but she was old I guess. How old was her husband when he died? It seems like that was years ago.

gg Majel.
My favourite scene was where she was trying to school Alexander in the mudbath. :o
that had to be one of the funniest scenes ever from the series.

Whoa... and they just had an article about her reprising her role as the voice for the ships computer.
This is very sad indeed... :(. May she Rest In Peace.

She also played Nurse Chapel in the original series and Deanna Troi's mother in The Next Generation.

Yes, I know. But it's always been nice of late, no matter how far into la-la land a Trek episode or film goes, there's at least her voice there to somehow properly ground the ST universe.

I suppose she didn't get her voice work done for the new movie yet? :(

It depends on which story you read. As I understand Leukemia, it's not a disease that pops up and says "You go bye now", you tend to know before it happens. Given the movie was originally supposed to be released next Thursday, I would think her work was done ages ago.

She's done the ships computer voice since the 60's, hasn't she?
I remember one of the few good Voyager episodes where the Doc is having hallucinations. In one scene, he's convinced that there's going to be a warp core breach and we hear Majel's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7eY8so9-rI) voice saying, "Warning: Warp Core Breach a lot sooner than you think! Time to be a hero, Doctor, GET GOING!" :D

Her roles in trek were(someone jump in and tell me if I left anything out):
Ships computer basically since the computer had a voice.
Number One, in the original pilot
Nurse Christine Chapel in TOS and TAS
Lieutenant M'ress in TAS
Diana Troi's Mother in TNG.
She's definately a big part of Star Trek, a part that will be missed.

Her only appearance in Enterprise was the two parter in Series 4 that took place in the alternate universe. Was the computer voice for Defiant. She also made a couple of minor appearances in the movies as Chapel, too.

Sad news, but she had a good innings. Oh well, no spin-off comedy series centred around Lwaxana Troi now :(

She also appeared as Lwaxana Troi in three episodes of Deep Space Nine.
She really kept the spirit of Star Trek going after Gene died. Her voice tied the series together, and her involvement surely ensured that Gene's vision for the series had to be considered. Very sad news.

My absolute favorite quote of Majel's voice as the computer.
From Voyager,
Janeway: "Coffee. Black."
Majel: "Make it yourself!"
lol brilliant.
Well, rest in peace Majel. May you be together with Gene once again.

That was very nice.
My favourite memory of Majel is her performance in the episode "Half a Life". David Ogden Stiers did a fantastic job of playing Timicin, and the two of them made the episode a very touching and emotional analysis of aging and euthanasia. One of the all-time best episodes of TNG, and I liked that it turned Lwaxana Troi from a somewhat one-dimensional, flirtatious nuisance into a fully developed, caring woman.
And I'm sure we all enjoyed the episode where she developed a relationship with Alexander and got Worf to take a mud bath. Beyond the comedy of the episode, it explored Lwaxana's fear of being alone in her golden years and entering a loveless marriage (an age old tradition). Revealing her fears explained the motivation for her character and her previous pursuits of Picard and Riker. While she was very good at comedy, I'm glad that the writers realized what a talent they had in Majel, and that they could give her parts that really explored Lwaxana's character.
It seems to be unanimous that she was a really nice lady. The First Lady of Star Trek, and the torch carrier since Gene's death.

The one from TNG's last season where it was revealed another kid of hers died was pretty intense, too.

I found her role as Trois mother extremely annoying.
She was decent as the ships voice though.

Star Trek lost more than its voice. A really big loss.
