Invalid data read error

When loading chap 1 Part 3 i get this error:

Invalid data read from an R_MemoryFile{"part3_level2.ldb").

I tried reinstalling patch but no help still got error but if i reinstall game i will lose my saved games?

Nope you don't lose your save games when you reinstall.

Your save games are kept in My Documents\Max Payne Savegames and not in the Max Payne game folder.
I have had to reisntall Max Payne twice.
Once because of a OS reinstall and once because one of the .ras files got damaged in a hard drive crash and my savegames were always ok.

Do you really need to re-install MP if you get these Invalid data read from R_MemoryFile exceptions ???

That sucks !

I will try it and hope it works !

Q: "I'm getting an R_Memoryfile error.
A: You may need to re-install the game. You can also try deleting the three x_level files from your Max Payne folder and copy them from the CD. If that doesn't help, disable DMA from your CD rom and re-install the game.
