Patch update problems

it seems that the patch you can download assumes that you installed max payne on your c drive. well i installed it on another local drive. is there a way i can tell the patch program where to look for my max payne directory?

I guess tech support isn't worth $%^#.

i downloaded the patch and it found my max directory on my g: drive.. try reinstalling max. (yeah i know it sucks, but it might make the patch work)

Which tech support did u contact? If ur US you need to contact talonsoft, andwhere else you need to contact take 2

The patch should work fine no matter where you installed the game. Are you sure you haven't manually moved the game files to a different drive/folder after installing the game? If that's the case you will need to reinstall the game since the patch has no way of knowing where the game is located. I could look into adding a manual browse to folder if the original install location was moved, but moving the game files after installing is not recommended since the uninstall won't work after that anymore...

NO, the game has been installed in my c:\Games\maxpain directory and never been moved nor altered in any way, but when I try to install the patch it can not find the game.
