I've got this system, and i think my game runs like shit.
AMD TB 1,2 GHz
ASUS V7700 (Geforce 2 GTS)
512 MB PC133 RAM
ASUS A7V-133 Motherboard
Windows ME
graphics driver: v. 6.31 (or something like that) from ASUS.
I have tried to use Nvidia's 14.70, 12.90 and 12.41. But all gave same results.
I run the game in medium details at 1024x768x16.
In the tutorial, where you get the ingram, go out the window, and aim down the street, fire off your ingram, and watch your fps, i only get 37!!!!
So would anyone give me a hint of how to improve fps, or tell me that it's normal for my system ???
Thanks for your help images/icons/smile.gif

Forget FPS. If your system is running at 37 FPS when your using the ingrams then I'd say you have nothing to complain about!

Thanks

use the developerkeys and developer switchs on startup and then type in SHowFPS in the console!

I don't really care about FPS...as long as my game is running smoothly I feel fine...
And I must say that I am a really happy gamer...
I have a:
PIII 500 Mhz
256 SDRAM
20 GB HD
64 Creative Geforce 3
I run the game on 1024*768 resolution and 32 bits textures and pretty close to full detail...I have got hardly any hickups....guess that GeForce 3 was a very very good buy... images/icons/grin.gif
I will go back at killing some bad guys now....Bullet time.......
Max.

I'm not sure what, but you most likely have something screwy going on. Are you using the latest Asus GeForceX drivers? I'm running it on a 1.4 Athlon, Asus V8200 GeForce3, 512MB DDR RAM, Epox 8K7A+, two IBM 60GXPs on RAID 0 and SB Live. I have all of the settings cranked to max, res @ 1024x768x32, Quincunx anti-aliasing enabled through driver, trilinear filtering, tex detail set to max... I have not experienced any noticably low frame rates yet.

Grrr...I hate you, Oddesey, I hate you. Why do you have to have such a good computer?!?! Oh well, I've got a pretty good one myself. Here it is:
PIII 933 MHz
384 MB SDRAM
60 GB Harddrive
ATI Radeon 32 MB (SDR) PCI
Windows ME
and some sort of motherboard. I hate it though...no AGP support. Came with the computer.
I run the game at 1024x768x32, 16-bit textures, and all settings on high except for character variations and character shadows, which are both on medium. Oh, and Trilinear filtering. Anyway, I'm a pretty happy gamer. I'm thinking of spending $120 on one of those Verto 64 MB GeForce 2 cards that are for PCI. Anyone know anything about those?

Hope you're jokeing. A minimum FPS of 37 bothers you!? That puts your average a little under 3 digits.
Shut and play images/icons/grin.gif
