When i first seen the "sonic" name in this title,i thought it was just another "sonic" collection.
Its actually a tasty meal of "Sega'" developed titles. :o

For the price it looks like your getting a lot here though. (around $30)
That's a lot better than the $8 a pop on the the Wii's VC store.

Improved graphics with support for 720p.

Feb.10 for the 360 and PS3.
A PC port would of been nice though.

Why doesn't sega ever include this in there collection titles?
It was developed and published by sega, there cant be a rights issue.

Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi
Sword of Vermilion
OutRun
Virtua Racing
Hang On

Aw man, no Zero Tolerance! :(

(Or NHL94 for that matter... But this would be worth getting for the 360 I think)

They couldn't add non sega published/developed games on there, for rights issues.

Would of been nice to see more on there from the AM2 arcade development team on there though.

Even though there are only a handful of games in that list I would like to play again I would pay 30 bucks for it. It's quite the collection

Wish it had Revenge of Shinobi, even though I still have the cart. I have a lot of these, but I'll keep it in mind in order to have an easy way to play the Streets of Rage games.

Most important question: are Sonic 2/3/Knuckles linkable?

Improved graphics with support for 720p.

The graphics just look like they've been run through 2xSai or something similar. It's highly debatable whether that's a good thing.

Just played a bit of it.

You can play in 4:3 with borders or widescreen.
Both options let you scale the image to what ever size you want.
Widescreen actually stretches the and distorts the sprites though.
The smoothing effect can be toggled on and off.

You shouldnt have a problem finding a option that suits you.

Each game also has a history brief and box/cart art.
You can save anywhere midgame in all titles.

It's a nice collection, for sure.

But other than box art and history, most of this stuff can already be played in emulators... which is essentially what this collection is. A glorified emulator with a collection of ROMs and some little bonus extras. The "improved graphics" are just a scale filter that emulators have as well; it's not like they actually remade graphics for every single game in the collection.

However, it's really nice if you want an easy way to play on a big TV. I'll give it that. ;)
