Lamb of God's new album, "Wrath" will be released on February 24th. Although it leaked on the internet a couple days ago. I've listened to a few tracks and can say that it is much more thrash than their previous album Sacrament, and I love it.

Two tracks were officially released earlier to promote the album:
Set To Fail (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C57gQ1yaA2w)
Contractor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUdyrK1iw6E&feature=channel)

So who here's a LoG fan/looking forward to this album?

I listened to the whole leaked album, and I must say I'm somehow disappointed. It sure is a solid effort, but it is not even near to "as the palaces burn" and "ashes of the wake". Technically, they improved, but IMO it lacks inspiration all the way. I will buy it for sure, it seems to be a slow grower, you need to listen to it a few times before it really comes together. But..it hardly has any highlights such as were Vigil, 11th hour, Hourglass, Omerta and other classics. You can't blame them really, they are not young anymore...

I like it much better then Sacrament though, and that is already good enough...

EDIT: There are some melodic acoustic parts which are nothing more then pure fillers. It sounds really nice, but you would think that something like that fits more bands like In Flames, and it really sticks out from the rest of the album, not being consistent at all. Those were real WTF moments for me. It just don't fit to the general feeling they are trying to convey with Wrath.

Yeah, the melodic parts reminded me of In Flames, but they grew on me, and I must say I really like the way it meshes as a whole.

Set to Fail starts so well that it alone means the album must rock :)

I have always loved Lamb of God's music. I'm just not a huge fan of those type of vocals. :( Actually, I like the vocals on Redneck because I can understand them. :D

I've never had trouble understanding Randy's vocals....

I was pretty disappointed with Sacrament, so let's hope that this album is better. I'm in class right now, so I can't really listen to the new tracks . . .I'll have to wait until I get home later.

I liked Sacrament....it doesn't beat Ashes of the Wake or As The Palaces Burn, but I still liked it.

This one is definitely better than Sacrament, though.

Well, have to agree that it does sound better than Sacrament. But still I think Lamb of God keeps oversimplifying their style. New American Gospel and As the Palaces Burn were awesome because of quirky riffs and crooked rhythms. It all worked together really well and didn't come off as gimmicky.

Don't get me wrong, nothing against straight forward brutal thrash but this doesn't really sound like that either. So I think they just should stick to what they know.

But I really like Randy's lyrics so probably gonna check this album out and hope the lyrics could save some songs like they did on Sacrament ("Rise" and "Redneck")

Finally got a chance to listen to some of the new tracks, and it's definitely better than what I heard on Sacrament. Like a lot of people have already said here, it's no AOTW, but it's more than passable.
