I encountered 2 bugs with with demo:

1) I had no problem playing the demo after the initial install, however, when I exited out of the game and tried to run it later it locked up my system displaying a Title Bar with a see-thru frame. After several failed attempts trying to run the demo, I figured out that if I disabled the sound I could run it. If I immediately exited the demo, I could then re-enable the sound and it would work, but I must do the disable/re-enable dance every time I want to play with sound.
I have a SB Live value sound card if it means anything.

2) This one is mildly humorous. While playing I noticed that if I reloaded the dual berettas then immediately started to jump, Max would eject the clips every time I jumped. I didn't try it with the other pistols, but it probably happens with them also. I went into a large room, reloaded and started hopping around like mad for 10 minutes straight images/icons/grin.gif There must have been a 1000 clips laying around graemlins/hhg.gif

Can't help you with the first one, but the gun is supposed to reload when you jump. How would you like to go into bullet time with an empty clip?

revenant, let me get this straight: I hit the reload key and then start jumping around and it is supposed to spit out the clips every time I hit the jump key? Doesn't make sense. As for bullet time, I didn't find much use for it in the demo.

Sorry. I miss understood what you said. Yes, it is a glitch, and it's also in the full version. Basically, when you reload, the clip falls, but when you jump, you interrupt the animation. When you get back on your feet, the animation will restart, dropping another clip. It could go on forever as long as you don't let the reloading animation finish. In the end, there could be a million clips! images/icons/smile.gif

rev,

Sorry that I got a little short with you. Just tired images/icons/blush.gif

I've been driving a lot lately for the company I work for, and I've been a little cranky graemlins/mryuck.gif

It is a pretty minor bug, as things go, I just got a kick out of it.

In Roscoe street Station, when I find the dead transit officer and try to leave, the camera will sometimes hit the wall or ceiling (I'm assuming this is it). When that happens, the camera partially clips into the wall and the game freezes.

This happens a lot. Is there anything I can do besides be really careful? images/icons/smile.gif

Bolt66:
Go to Start > Run > type 'dxdiag'
When it loads got to the Sound tab and slide the Directsound Acceleration to Zero. Then exit dxdiag.

It seems to have worked for me "so far" (also have a SB Live btw and so did someone else reporting the same problem IIRC). I still have sound in the game although it loses a little... errr.. reverb(?) in the sound but it works.
