One of the lesser used features here is the blog functionality of vBulletin. It's something I added last year, and while I never expected it to be the most popular thing, it has been a bit slow. I wanted to draw some attention to it by pointing out a feature that's pretty cool.

There's a lot of stuff posted here that is far better served in a blog post than gumming up a thread on the forums with a random comment that really is not relevant to the post in hand. One cool feature lets you make a new blog entry here out of any post you might run into on the forums.

Each post has a graphic at the bottom that is shown in the graphic above (and is pointed at with the red arrow). If you click that, you'll be taken to your blog, with the text of that particular post already entered in as a starting point.

If you've never checked out the blogs, you should do so. You have a lot of freedom in how you can make it look, who can access and comment. If you have any questions, post 'em here.

I haven't tried this yet, but will users who i blog-post, know that i replied to them there..?
Making people notified about new messages in these places helps alot, it's kinda what makes the group feature a bit inactive... Regular blogs only make subscribed users notified i reckon, so if replying to someone using this, who isn't subscribed to your blogs, will he still be notified..? If not, can it be enabled..?

Like i said i haven't tested it yet, so i'm not sure exactly how it works, thought it would be best to ask first...

I blogged your latest post here to test it...
Untill now i see it automatically quoted your post...
Did you also receive a notification ..? if so, this would be really handy...

I should check out blogs again, i should see if i can create a section for blogs that are made especially for this feature...
