I'm experiencing some odd visual glitches, with missing textures (seems to be textures with transparent areas - metal grates showed 'semi transparent' areas, intead of gaps), and decals, although 'fresh' blood decals showed fine. Any idea what might cause the errors?

What VIA drivers do you currently run? There's been a lot of issues with VIA motherboards. Check and make sure you have the most recent update for that.

I get that first shot's error when I have detail textures on high (full game mind) in conjunction with other things set to high - my TNT2 doesn't deal with it well.

My TNT2 system does that as well. However my GeForce system does not. They are nearly identical aside from the card. The TNT is a KX133/K7V while the GeForce is a KT133/A7V. The two boards are virtually identical as are the chipsets and drivers (4in1s).

That strongly suggusts a problem with either the TNT series or the drivers used in them (typically older).

Thanks for the advice. I'll check on the VIA drivers, since that seems to be the only option (everything else is running the latest drivers as far as I know).

Then again, maybe I'll just splash out on a GeForce images/icons/smile.gif

Anyone else have this problem and fixed it?

I have the same display problems with my TNT2 using the Detonator 3 12.41 drivers however I didn't have it with my old drivers... 6something I think - I have them on a CD around here somewhere.

I only updated them because I was hoping it would fix the problem that turned out to be the DirectSound/SB Live issue. Will be a shame to lose out on all the display settings that the 12.41 drivers add for the TNT2 but looks like I might have to. At least till I get tired of playing this game

I tried updating the VIA drivers, but unfortunately that didn't fix the problem. I get the problem no matter what details settings I use (and I've tried all high, all low, and variations in between). I'll give the older TNT2 drivers a shot, but I'm seriously considering going the GeForce route by now images/icons/smile.gif
