The other day I went to a local music store all ready to splurge on a good guitar at last (I've been using a beginner-class guitar until now and I've been playing for 11 years or so, so it was a long time coming). But when I got there I found out they were having huge blow out sale this month so it was good timing. I got my guitar for more than 25% off. It's an Ibanez RG Series R420EX. It's got 24 frets with sharktooth inlays, a Floyd Rose Tremelo locking system, and a Red Arctic Frost finish. It's a beautiful guitar and the sound is sooooo much better than my old piece of garbage. Finally after 11 years I finally have a guitar worthy of my ability. I also got a nice hard case to house it in. Here's some pictures for you other guitar players out there or anybody who'll find this interesting.

Inside the case.

Standing upright. (the light isn't very good here and doesn't do the finish justice)

A nice body shot. (this one does the finish justice although it's a little overbright)

I miss the Destroyer. :(

Nice guitar though, just not my cup of tea in choice.

It'll only fall apart if you don't know what you're doing. Fortunately, I do. And it plays really well.

Not true. Edge III is made of low quality metal material (actually a mix of some other material and metal, to cheapen the proces) , and I saw it fall apart to many experienced gutarists. It tends to break in lots of weird places, which don't have much to do with the way of playing/handling the guitar.

I worked at local music shop, and we had shitload of problems with customers because of that. That don't really man that it would neccesarily break for you man, but it definitely means that it is not very smart investment.

Ah, ok. I thought you were maybe talking about something else. Didn't realize this. Thanks for the tip.

Your guitar has a body style I've never considered to be anywhere near my favorite but it has a very nice finish.

Trouser splitting fantastical glory.

That... is f*cking awesome. Dual humbuckers and that red chameleon finish kicks ass.

I can't stand Ibanez six-strings, but I damn love their bass guitars. I've still got my first one (think it is an Soundgear-800 from like '97) and I've treated it like shite, but it still sounds great. On the flip side, I hate Fender basses but love their cheap shit electrics.

I've always loved Ibanez, I still want one of these (http://www.ibanez.com/ElectricGuitars/model-S5470).

However the next guitar I get will probably be a Danelectro '63 Electric or Baritone (probably the latter) with some post-mods of my own
