Max Payne 2 & Aesir Corp.

I was just thinking, do you think Aesir Corporations will be involved in the story of Max Payne 2?

It was pretty much left out of business since she was killed in the helicopter when the antenna fell onto it just as the chopper was taking off.

The Aesir Corporations chapter is one of my favorite levels in the game. The building itself is awesome, theres just somthing about all the high-tech security that makes that level extra special. I really hope that Aesir Corp. and that building is involved in MP2, maybe they can have some new villan run Aesir Corporations that Max needs to kill by crashing his/her chopper.. images/icons/grin.gif

Disclaimer: I haven't read the Max 2 outline, so these statements aren't meant to be taken as fact - it's just my own speculation.

Most big corporations aren't run by a single person - I would expect that Aesir would have a board of directors and whatnot. Can't imagine she was the ONLY person high up in the company. images/icons/smile.gif

I know, im just trying to figure out who may be running Aesir Corp. in MP2, if it is included. Maybe some new character or somebody eles that wasnt really involved with the story in Max Payne that was the Vice President or CEO. Well, time will only tell...lets just hope Aesir has a pretty good role in MP2 images/icons/smile.gif

I dunno about you guys, but to me the story
of MP1 was pretty weak, just a reason for him
to go around and waste all the gangsters, so
I'm not too worried about the story. What they
might do is start it with Max breaking out of
jail and joining the Russian mob to work with
Vladmir, or have the eye patch dude break

I hated the Aesir levels and just about any level in Part 3 except the Garage. I wanna waste dumb, ugly Italians, not shoot some snooty suits who have money! There'd better not be any Aesir.

I suppose there were so much shit and villains in Aesir that it will be involved in MP2. And ONE man cant begin new battle. Maybe smb from Remedy will say a word (vanishes)?

Well, let's review what we know.

-Nicole was killed
-Max was arrested (put in a police car at least)
-Woden was cleared of any wrong doing
-Vladimir(SP?) is still with russian mafia ready to return a favor for Max
-Mona might not be dead...

Knowing the above I'd have to say that Mona will somehow be involved with Max. Maybe she knows a bigger picture. I think Woden will double cross Max. Max is just a pawn on Woden's chess board...

If I'm correct, when Max was loaded into the cop car, he said something along the lines of
"I was smiling like a winner, and so was Woden" or something like that..doesn't that mean that Woden is happy he's getting arrested? Like he had double crossed Max??

I think Mona and Woden will definitely figure in the sequel (Mona as a good guy, hopefully as Max's next wife!). I'm more doubtful about Aesir. Maybe the real business (i.e. Valkyr) behind the company will come out in the limelight, or maybe it will just go to the media that its president was killed in an accident and that Aesir will "continue as before". (Question is, did Nicole have any powerful business partners in Aesir, interested in Valkyr?). Another (minor) question is if the junkies in MP2 will still be doing Valkyr. It would be silly if it just vanished because Nicole died. Like making Earth clean from Heroin...just ain't gonna happen.

It didn't exactly grow on fields in South Eastern Asia... but if Valkyr wasn't too complex to manufacture, it could have been taken up by "amateur" chemists like today's real drugs are produced. I mean, LSD didn't disappear from earth when Albert Hoffman died (maybe he isn't dead yet?).

Here are a few things i THINK could be in MP2.

Woo's first theory,

Max goes in a police car, Half way to the police station, the russian dude, breaks you out of the car, you and him escape and you start doing jobs for him, in this time, you cross Woden, this stirs things up, nad it gets ugly from there!

Woo's second theory,

Max goes to prison and breaks out, (Then carry on with first theory...)

Woo's third theory,

In a strange turn, you go to a prison, dont escape and It turns into Prison Tycoon
You must stop max being...(Picked on)

Woo's forth theory,

Upon your escape, you go your own way, you are injured in a gun battle with police, you find Duke Nukem, you and Duke decide to go kick wodens ass!

Woo's fifth theory,

Same as forth theory, except the whole duke thing! images/icons/smile.gif
