Since TX said in the other topic that theres nothing wrong in modifying the original maps if they will only work with the fullversion of the game, im posting here to see if someone can help me with this. Im trying to create an Underwater version Hollywood Holocaust for netgames. I already did all the structure but then i found some strange bugs. When underwater the doors will just not work if youre not in an sector that "touches" the door. The problem is that it happens in near half of the doors of that map and its very annoying. Since i have a lot of mapping experience i started to thinking about other ways to make them work without modifying the layout of the map too much. Then i found some solutions, but all of them have problems:
- Changing the door texture to the DOORTILE ones so you can open then with quick kick. The main problem of this way is that i will need to tell ppl of the problem b4 they can play. Also it will change the look of the map because it wont be the same texture.
- Putting an switch in front of the door that had the same vertical and horizontal height of the door with cstat 32768 so they would be invisible. In theory this should work perfect, but when game starts the switchs are invisible AND BLOCKED, meaning that you cant pass beetwen them at all.
- The last resort would be putting an switch near the door so the player would need to just press it to door open, but this a very bad ideia since when you dukematching theres no time to look for switches.

What im looking for: i want help to get this working. Im not asking for CON code since this map is supossed to be like any other user map, distributed in a single file that can be run in any port or even in the original DOS .EXEs, im looking for a build trick or something that i am missing.

IF someone is interested to help then i can send the map file via PM, Thanx.

i can assume a touchplate wont work right? i'd like to help. or just see what i can do...

and for the invizoswitch.. i can assume you tried turning blocking off?

and for the last resort.. one of the DIPSWITCHs might allivate the problem since all you have to do is shoot.., and maybe moving it to on the door (prolly midair.. though that would look stupid, it'd work in theroy)
