Help bug with the game need help

Arg max payne when i walk in some room they turn pitch black dont know how to fix it need help bad
im stuck becus of it.

There is a level or 2 wich need to be black, just follow the lines on the ground.

its brite if a look befor i go in some rooms then i walk in and it turns pitch black.

The game only bugs out in small areas, indoors. I walk into the room, and it usually turns black. Sometimes, everything will be normal until a gunshot, then everything turns black. Some textures remain visible, posters and graffitti.

It appears to be a dynamic lighting problem, to me.

I'm running

AMD Duron 600 MHZ processor
176 megs of ram
S3 Prosavage 16 meg
