I have tried re-installing the game but it always comes up with this message with Part 1 Chapter 2. And sometimes even Chapter 1. This is really annoying. I have got the latest drivers for my Geforce and my SB Live.
These are my specs:
PIII 866
VIA chipset
128 RAM
Geforce 256 32MB
SB LIVE
Please reply because i havent been able to do anything in the whole 3 days i have had MP.

The combination of VIA & SBLive is known to cause problems.
Make sure you have the most recent drivers for everything, especially your VIA motherboard.
Also, check and make sure you don't have onboard sound active as well as your sound card.

ok.... i got the latest drivers for my VIA motherboard (4.33) but it didnt help. Still the same message except now the "tutorial" level works. (yay) Please help me out here. Anything. More suggestions i will try anything. This is so frustrating. I got the latest Nvidia detonator drivers also (XP v21.81) But it didnt help either. I am going crazy here. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Success for me! Had the exact same problem.
I had read in the FAQ or Readme about this error and found the three HUGE data files. Deleted these and just copied them back over from the CD to the hard disk and my error is gone! Finished the game last night.
Cool ending...everything just falls together.
There is a known issue with Via 686B chipsets and SB Live cards. Between the BIOS upgrade and the purchase of a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz board, I haven't had too many other issues (other than I believe my power supply is having troubles).
Great game.
