View Full Version : Error: 80070017 when trying to download Duke3D

Well, my xbox broke recently and the harddrive broke along with the console. I got a new one recently and I am now trying to redownload duke, but it keeps giving me this error: 80070017.

My question is this, I am curious if Duke Nukem 3D has been banned in Korea or something. I tried a search, but got no information :(

I am having the same problem with Doom.

I am assuming that the game has been banned (Doom as well) -_- Guess I'll have to go to a friends house to grab it when I go back to the States in august.

Yeah, it's banned in South Korea, Germany, & Japan.

thats annoying, seriously the goverments doin that should hav people complaing cause they hav too much power, there takin something that shouldnt be up to them, should be a infringement of our rights

I really want to know what Japan has against Duke 3D since I'm pretty sure the PS1 Duke was released in Japan.

Indeed. With the sexually suggestive games they pump out over there I really am surprised.

I don't think most of the hentai games go through their rating board though. I haven't seen CERO ratings on most of them. Most of the dating sims that are on console I've seen the rating but I don't think those are as graphic as the others.

Yeah, they have a bunch of H-games as 18+ and those have actual penetration and fluids and nudity. I have no idea how Duke doesn't get 18+ or something. Is it cause you can shoot the strippers or something? I don't know but it's ridiculous.

Yes... mates and I picked up a few odd games on the playstation 2 years back. Holy crap :o

the japanese are just plain nuts imo a game such a duke 3d doesnt even deserve an 18+ rating so theres a bit of blood and pixel limbs flying everywhere but that doesnt compare it to some of the games these days
