We don't really have a techtalk board here, so i opted to post this here. Mods, please feel free to move if this thread is lost.

Anyway, recently came across how Microsoft sees the near future. Very optimistic indeed, to early for 10 years i think. But then again, I guess, they wouldn't want a prediction where Bill is already dead. Lol

Microsoft's 2019 Vision (http://www.topnewsblog.info/tblog_11244.htm):insomnia:

nice concept, but I suspect that most of those things when you see them are going to be running on embedded linux to avoid the microsoft tax, because really that is all it is.

Again with this vision speak? They need Doc Brown and his MSVSBS detector (and if you know what I'm talking about, you're a nerd :D)

I haven't seen DNF in this video so I assume it still isn't done in 2019.

The thought of getting attacked by holographic "popup windows" everywhere I walk... terrifies me.

Think we could get popup blockers installed into our baseball caps?

Their vision is probably not too far off the truth, but MS will ship their versions late in 2022 while Linux, Mac OS, Google OS, Dell OS & HP OS will have it up and running by 2015 ;)

The world is ending in 2012 anyway :p :D

Can you stop going into threads about Microsoft?

Why? I use MS products and I'm interested in what they are up to...

So that's your excuse for just making every post a jab/bash? Awesome.

Never said I liked their products...But come on it's not like MS are the best company in the world, they make ok stuff but they do have a lot of problems.

If you don't want to see anything negative about MS, my advice would be to not to use the internet.

It's not like I was even the first person in the thread to have a pop at MS...now you will have to excuse me I'm off to try out IE8.

So theyre no different than most companies. Leave them alone.

Heck they are slowly getting better, IE 8 is probably better than FF3 was at release, Windows 7 sounds much better than Vista and XP. You never know once they have caught up maybe they can start innovation and pushing the software industry forward. But I always try to make sure it's just a light hearted jab at MS, I did not realize that there were so many MS fanboys/girls here that could not take a joke!

Sorry everyone, I take back what I said. MS will ship this vision in 2019 as they plan and Linux, Mac OS, Google OS, Dell OS & HP OS will be struggeling to keep up with MS.

Vista sucks. Mojave rules.
