i had problems with max payne : every time i was shooting my pc was rebooting :-( i read in the FAQ or in that forum that it's a sound problem and i must decrease sound acceleration in directX.I've done it but nothing changed so i wrote to developpers , and they said i must desactivate 3D acceleration...But i have 2 speakers only , so i never activated 3D acceleration :-( So the guy said me to change playback device from "pci device" to "game compatible device"...i start the game and...MIRACLE IT WORKED !!! sound cuts off sometimes but no crash or reboot !!! So if you have the same problem , try this stuff !
