As an example, the most recent achievement I got was in Gears of War 2, and is named "Never Eat Red Snow". You get it for your team surviving the first 10 waves of Horde on each of the 4 new Snowblind Map Pack maps. :)

For looting 100 Gold off corpses, took a few weeks of solid play to get, so while it's not a "luck" based achievement, it's just one you get after playing awhile, kind of like the Zombie Genocidest achievement in Left4Dead...

Just got the achievement for completing the "Blood Ties" quest in Fallout 3.

It really doesn't make a lot of sense to me that Lucy West could just accept her brother with open arms after discovering the fact that he is a vampire and that he killed their parents, but whatever.

And I mean a lot, I'm not going to bother listing them all.... but lets say I've finished three more chapters. And on average... three to four achievements per chapter. Five on one for sure.

EDIT: Odd, I just got the "Gold Melee Master" achievement in Condemned: Criminal Origins. You are supposed to get this achievement upon completing the game using only melee weapons. I got the achievement upon finishing Chapter 9, I had still to play Chapter 10.

Arathi Basin Assassin

Get 5 kills at the 5 flags in the Arathi Basin Battleground. This one has eluded me several times, more than once I had 5 kills at 4 of the 5 flags, but that last flag never seemed to get any action and I would stand there waiting for an attack or something. But tonight I finally got it. I only need one more difficult achievement to get on this Battleground and the rest are just grind 'em outs to complete the set then.

WoW again: Freedom of the Horde

Obtain an Insignia or Medallion of the Horde. Basically a "trinket" that you can buy with Honor Points gained from Honorable Kills in PvP, usefull for cancelling movement impairing effects from spells or special abilities, but has a 5 minute recharge (the Insiginia anyway, I'm not high enough level yet for the Medallion). :(

It's not stupid, it's a viable strategy.
You can infinitely lay down suppressing fire because your ammo will always fill up before you can use it all.

Push the cart for the Heavy in Team Fortress 2. It took me ages, to get it I just kept shooting the mini gun and running forward with the cart, while everyone kept shooting me, then if I got my health down and no medics were near, I ran to a health pack.

You really need co operation to get those achievements in this game.

I am playing on a stick. It is actually stupid easy. I was just too lazy to sit through it lol

I usually don't like playing the arcade version much after I unlock all the characters. Once that is done I just play online 99% of the time, but I kind of just felt like getting a quick achievement yesterday so I did that.

Here is what you do: Map LP+MP+FP to one button. Pick Zangief. Just hold forward and continuously press that button. I even got a few perfects and fought Akuma. I beat him with the same tactics.

I think it is ok if your teammates heal you. Because my teammates healed me and at the end it still said I never used a medkit. I think you just can't use a medkit on yourself.

Nope, I was remembering it wrong. I thought it said don't use any medkits. It said not to be healed at all through the entire campaign. What a load of dook.

I borrowed RE5 and got a ton of trophies in that. Mainly level completion ones (which IMO shouldn't deserve a trophy/achievement). Now some for really hard to pull off feats I got by complete accident were cool though, like blowing a guys head off in mid jump.

You know I'm really glad I borrowed this instead of buying it, I honestly don't think this game has a story of any kind.. and if it does it's so paper thin it serves a purpose for moving to new areas to kill more people. I really don't give a shit about anything going on and the game doesn't do anything to make me want to.

As an action game it's not horrible, but not really that good either.. however I can see the coop appeal. But as a follow up to Resident Evil 4 (a game that revolutionized the series, for better/worse) it's a complete and utter failure. Almost like getting your sight back after years of blindness and then immediately putting shards of glass into them.

This game isn't free flowing at all, though. All the nice freerunning is ruined when the player is shoved down a narrow path, chased by gunfire. Memorizing that path is the key to success. And that's just sad. I'm done with this game.

Can't imagine a "game" where trophies are less fitting than this. Normally they just complement the experience but you'll ruin it for yourself trying to achieve things here :)
