And I was hoping someone could recommend a game for me.

1.) Looking for something third person with melee and ranged weapons (bows), deep combat, gore, physics, nice environments, etc. for either PC or 360.

Thanks guys!

Good idea, but I have that already. And I should have added that I would like lots of gore in there as well...:)

Rune was a good 3rd person melee game, but you mostly fought creatures for the first third of the game.

It didn't have bows, but you could hurl your weapons.

Its made from the first Unreal Engine, so its a little dated. But it was fun none-the-less.

Viking: Battle for Asgard might also be your think. All you do is run around, freeing other vikings from captivity and setting small villages free from undead-like monsters. Then, once an island is all liberated, you wage a huge war on some fortress.

Repeat for a total of 3 islands.

It gets a little repetitive near the end, but its still good enough for at least one play through.

If you'd also consider first person then Dark Messiah would be an option. It has melee and ranged, good combat (not overly complex, but good), MUCH gore.... nice environments ... yah, some of them, it also has some big areas... and physics.. yap, check. Also features magic and a skill system ...

Yeah, Dark Messiah is a good suggestion, though I've beaten it a few times now. Fun combat though in my opinion.

Sucks that Viking is so repetitive.

Guess I just need to fire up old Oblivion again.

Its still really, really fun while you play it. In almost all the reviews, sites have said how much more in depth the game gets than they originally though. I highly suggest giving it a rental.
