Help!

I have an AMD 1.3GHz, 256 MB of DDR RAM, and a GeForce 3. I've tried reinstalling Max Payne, and everything. The game scans my computer, and sets all the options to HIGH. I start playing the game. The framerate is okay... sometimes I can make it all the way through a level. Sometimes I can't. The point is: the game crashes! it locks up, and says: "An error has occured in the graphics engine. Try to downgrade your setting in the startup dialog's Options menu." So I do that. Then the game crashes again, and says "Out of V-sync memory," or something like that. But all other games run fine! What should I do?

did you try turning Vsync to "off by default"? You can do that in your video card settings somewhere. I experienced some games crashing while it was on
