View Full Version : So, what's everyone playing until Max Payne
The Baskinator

Let's see...
I play Unreal Tournament, Quake III, Grand Theft Auto 3, Dungeon Siege, JK2, Undying, Heretic II, Doom, Doom 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and...
... Max Payne. images/icons/smile.gif It hasn't gotten old. MAX PAYNE = TEH BEST GAEM EVAR!!!11 graemlins/love.gif It remains number one on my "Way-Sweet Games" list.
I'm also trying to beat Chrono Cross, getting the maximum amount of characters possible. I'm guessing it will take somewhere around... 483 years to complete.

Soldier of Fortune II (concentrating on multiplayer, too fun!)
GTAIII (fabulous, fabulous.....oh, and did I mention fabulous?)
I'm also a classic adventure gamer, so I plan on getting The Watchmaker (http://www.gotgameentertainment.com/watchmaker/) (a real-time 3D title that takes place in a huge Austrian castle) and Syberia (http://www.syberia.info/) (an epic size 2D p-&-c about a mysterious toymaker).

Max Payne was still on my system until I reinstalled last week. I'm gonna try to finish it again just before Max Payne 2 comes out! images/icons/grin.gif
Homoludens, The Watchmaker and Syberia look amazing. The Watchmaker has a Rogue Spear look to it, but Syberia really has me curious for some reason. I'm gonna keep my eyes open for the demo.

There already is a demo (http://www.vnunet.fr/svm/pgs/syberia.htm?pass=syberiasvm&x=66&y=3) available for Syberia, unfortunately it's in French, but at least you get to see how the game moves (it's a very richly detailed 2D world with 3D characters).
There's also a demo for the Watchmaker you can d/l from the official site. The bad thing is that there's no voice characterizations yet, and the narrator sounds like he'd rather be working behind a desk somewhere. The good thing is that you get to see the 3D engine in action and get to work on a puzzle.

Been playing JK II : Jedi Outcast and Morrowind.
I just bought JKII and it has been really cool so far. JKII reminds me of MP with it's action and atmosphere. Makes you feel like your in a movie and that's all good! Graphics are music are great but I'm not sure of the story yet. But when you play a game to 4am it won't take long to find out.
Morrowind is a unfinished diamond (imo). The game runs poorly on my machine and the AI needs alot of work. (FPS is terrible and the pathfinding reminds me of the games I was playing 4 years ago.) But this game is a keeper with it's beautiful graphics and possible great gameplay. It just needs a patch. The devs need to go an extra mile so this game can reach its fullest potential.
That's all I'm playing until Max Payne 2... Well maybe... So many games, so little time. images/icons/grin.gif

What's wrong with Morrowind? It rocks! It's a huge and vast world you can do anything in. No other game has been able to create a feeling like that.

Morrowind occasionally but mostly GTA3. I also do the occassional carnage in my own levels for Max Payne, but that doesn't count images/icons/wink.gif

Unreal tournament, Commanche 4, and MP.
UT - mostly. I also wanted to create some levels for MP, but there are some problems with MaxED.

Yeah. No time to play, we've got a game to work on. (how ironic)
Well, at home I've been playing Halo, Dungeon Siege and recently Warrior Kings. And I'd like to have time to play GTA3 sometimes.

No-one has changed handles.
Mixuk has been with us since last fall.
Let's see, what do I play...since I am into managering stuff and the Football world championships are on, I started a new game on the Championship Manager 00/01. Man that game just takes hours out of my free time.
Otherwise, I enjoy Day of Defeat, The Half-life mod for some on-line bashing.

And btw, everyone knows that Remedy does nothing but playing games up there. They have all consoles and all games that come out for them, and they take those saunas that reduce your brain activity, then they get together for some console goodness... it's a shame... but they are rich now, they don't care images/icons/wink.gif

I'm still playing Rogue Spear and UT. To be quite honest, I haven't played MP for a long time, just fooling around with some weird, personal MODs of mine. Believe it or not, I'm also playing MidTown Madness 2, hard to believe such a shitfull game can be so much fun! I guess one game I'm playing that isn't weird to play would also be Disciples II.
BTW, I've always wanted to play GTA3 but it is banned in Canada, I think... I have to order it from the net or something, soon...

Is still get mad at my friend daniel for making up acronyms no one has heard before.
Daniel: Of course, that's nothing compared to 'D2'.
Me: 'D2'? what?
Daniel: Diablo 2
Me: Oh, ok, you know no one else here calls it that.
Daniel: Bah, I'm to lazy to say the full thing.
(Time passes)
Daniel: Yeah, I've been playing 'M' all day.
Me: Wha? oh, never mind...
JK2 (MP) and Metal Gear Solid 2.

Who know's maybe 1.6 means one very large child. Who has to live in an airplane hanger because he/she is 30 feet tall. Eats an entire truckload of cabbage every day. Wait... What? never mind.
I just beat fallout earlier today. It's probably the sixth time I've beaten that game. It's a very good game, but it's too short. Hope the third one is announced soon!
